Soothing Aloe Vera Face Mask for Acne

What is Aloe Vera?
The clear gel that is found under the Aloe Vera skin is what is known as Aloe Vera Gel. It is made up of 96% water, various enzymes, anti-oxidants, minerals, and vitamins, like Vitamin E which are considered good for your skin.
Studies have shown that used in conjunction with traditional anti-acne medication, Aloe Vera gel, is very effective in treating mild to moderate acne. Even on its own, Aloe Vera gel applied on the face can increase blood flow and fight-off harmful bacteria on the Skin.
Is Aloe Vera Safe for The Skin?
Aloe Vera is one of the few ingredients that’s suited for all skin types like oily, dry, or sensitive skin so applying it daily will not harm your skin. It is completely safe to apply Aloe Vera gel on your skin directly. However, as with any new ingredient that you apply to your skin for the first time, test the gel on the back of your wrist and see if you develop any rashes within a couple of hours. How Can I Use it for Acne?
Below is a simple Aloe Vera Mask to apply the gel on acne breakouts, leave overnight and rinse off in the morning with water to ward off redness and irritation.
Ingredients:
- 1-2 drops of tea tree oil
- 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera gel
- ½ teaspoon of unrefined coconut oil
Recipe: In a bowl, add 1-2 drops of tea tree essential oil along with 2 tablespoons of Aloe Vera Gel. Add ½ teaspoon of unrefined coconut oil too. Mix all the ingredients very well till they create a thin smooth paste.
How to Use: Once a smooth thin paste is obtained after mixing all the ingredients, simply put a layer of the same on your face and keep it overnight. Rinse it off well with lukewarm water to get fresh and super hydrated skin.
